Say Hello To Our Silent Hamster Wooden Wheel!
Please note: our XL hamster wheels sold out quickly, but have been ordered and are on their way to Pawsome Pals. Allow a bit of extra delivery time when you order the XL wheel.
In the wild, hamsters run various distances every night to collect food and materials they can use for bedding. Our domesticated hamster friends still have that instinct to run, forage and gather, which is why providing a safe way for them to promote natural behaviour and get some exercise is essential.
It is also crucial that the wheel is the right size for your hamster to prevent a curved spine when running, and subsequently, spine injury. Our Silent Wooden Hamster Wheel comes in two sizes:
- Dwarf Hamster Size: Height - 29cm (exterior) and 25cm (interior); Total Height is 32cm (from base to top)
- Syrian Hamster Size: Height - 33cm (exterior) and 28.5cm (interior); Total Height is 36cm (from base to top)
You and your small furry friend will love this wheel because:
- Silent: The Wooden Hamster Wheel is entirely silent, meaning everyone gets better sleep.
- Lined: The inside of the hamster wheel is lined with removable cork, eliminating discomfort and injury due to limbs that may get stuck in gaps while running.
- Sealed: Our Silent Wooden Hamster Wheels are sealed with a pet-safe sealant to prevent urine from penetrating the cork and wood and causing odour.
Maintainance
Cleaning is a simple, 3-step process:
- Gently wipe all parts of the wheel with a clean, damp cloth.
- Rinse the cloth and spray it with F10 SCXD Veterinary Disinfectant Cleanser Solution (follow the dilution instructions on the product label). Wipe all parts of the wheel, then let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Gently wipe all the parts of the wheel with a damp, clean/rinsed cloth and let the wheel dry completely before putting it back into the habitat.
Allow your beloved hammy to run as it would in the wild while being safe and content in its habitat!
